The air is on and coming through the vents. The air is not cold and the big fan outside on the condenser is not moving.

air conditioning repair
tate asked:

The air conditioner in my Jeep went out. While stopped or slow moving, neither the air conditioner nor the fan will work. However when driving on the highway cold air will flow at a low weak level. It is not leaking refridgerant and it hasn’t run out. It kicked back on while I was driving, worked for a while the other day, then stopped again. It will not blow any air(ac or fan). In other words switching from low, medium, or high yields no result. It won’t do anything. I tried the heat just to see if it would work and it does not. I checked fuses; they were fine. Could this be a short in the blower motor? Has it gone out all together? Something with the compressor maybe? What could it be? And how much might it cost to repair? Thanks. PS, I did ask this question earlier but felt I did not give an adequate description of the problem. Thanks again.

My current air conditioning unit is giving me huge electric bills, should I try to repair or just by a new one?

central air conditioning
Person asked:

I have one of those re-useable central air conditioner air filters (the ones that go under the air handlers)

I have been cleaning it out with my water hose every month or so.

Is this the proper way?

What happens if I place it back a little wet?
